Artist's Bio

Zaineb Abelque is a self-taught photographer and visual storyteller whose practice explores faith, identity, diaspora, and cultural memory. Her work blends documentary and poetic visual language, often using objects and ephemera from her family home to reflect on ritual and belonging. Beyond image making she spends her time facilitating spaces as a cofounder of a woman led collective Athene club equally caring about connecting art and culture as well as engaging with it.
